with Stage II breast cancer in 1989. Her special focus is on helping
those who are living with advanced breast cancer to make good treatment
decisions based on the latest clinical research. Her books, articles and
presentations have helped thousands of patients and their families. She
works with the FDA, the National Breast Cancer Coalition, the Institute
of Medicine, and many other organizations.
